Feral Monster follows Jax and her noisy, opinionated brain as they navigate love, identity, class and family. Mashing up grime, R&B, soul, pop and rap, the soundtrack takes us from the high highs to low lows of the hormonal rollercoaster of adolescence.

Our New Blog!

Hello and welcome to the new Theatr Brycheiniog blog. We are very excited that you're here!

Ok, so you're asking yourself what  the Theatr Brycheiniog blog is about. Well, that’s an easy enough question… the blog is about everything and anything that happens here in the theatre. So much goes on behind the scenes in this quirky, arty and amazing building and we want to share everything with you.

So whether it’s the bright lights of the stage, the excitement of the curtains lifting, the hilariously dirty jokes from our comedy club, amazing music events, awesome artwork or cute photos of our theatre 'dog of the day', this blog has something for everyone! We never miss a thing – now neither will you!

Kitchen takeovers at Theatr Brycheiniog

So what have we been up to?

It’s been non-stop here over the last few months – as well as sell-out shows and community projects, we have also introduced Kitchen Takeovers. And they have been AWESOME! We were lucky enough to have Bwydiful Burgers, That Fish Guy and Cat Soup Kitchen over to cook up a feast for our audience. Who doesn’t love dinner and a show!

Did you come to our Fleabag screening and Cat Soup Kitchen takeover? Well what more is there to say? WOW it was awesome! The food was incredible, the theatre team outstanding. And the screening was everything we knew it would be and so much more.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is phenomenal – this one woman show captured the audience straight away. The story was outrageously funny and raw, filled with laughter, guinea pigs and realness. Oh, and the ending! Don’t worry, no spoilers here... the show sold out so, if you were part of the audience, well done, we hope you enjoyed yourself! Did you stay for drinks after in our guinea pig café? #FleaBagBrecon

Comedy club & curry nights

Have the heard about our Comedy Clubs?  They are a blast… the curry is amazing too! If you haven’t been to one of our comedy clubs before you are missing out BIG TIME – over-16s only as it's not suitable for a younger audience.  Our comedians are always exceptional – if you've been part of the audience you will know how well the comedians interact with the room. We are looking forward to our next comedy club in January.

Look out for special interviews with the comedians in future blogs! Tickets are £10 or for just £20 you can also get curry and a drink before the show!

Macmillans coffee morning – we had a lovely coffee morning on September 27 in aid of Macmillan cancer support. We raised £79! Thank you to everyone who popped in for a slice of cake, a friendly chat or donated to this cause.

What’s happening in December

We have an amazing December ahead at Theatr Brycheiniog, including our fantastic Christmas event! From December 20 through to December 22 the theatre will be celebrating the festive season in style!

Coinciding with the brilliant Nutcracker ballet performance, Christmas stalls and festive delights will be available from 12pm to 7pm. We'll be joined by local traders and carol singers and we'll have on offer roasted chestnuts and, of course, mulled wine and mince pies. The Hay Makers will also be back again and will be here in the gallery from the December 2 until Christmas Eve.

We're really excited about Christmas! The team have their Christmas jumpers ready! Keep an eye out for our December blog...
