Art in the Bar
Ieuan Whittaker
Ieuan is a Brecon based emerging artist who works primarily with landscape photography. Ieuan has selected some of his favourite landscape photographs from his extensive archive that includes landscapes and nature from the local area and further afield, railways and steam engines, and more recently, castles.
Passionate about his craft, Ieuan seeks inspiration from the drama of the local natural environment, and is particularly drawn to y Bannau Brycheiniog, where he lives and works. As a nature lover, Ieuan aims to share his emotional connection to the natural environment, and his gaze on its wonders.

Calling all artists and makers!
We invite artists and makers living and working locally to Brecon to submit framed artwork for sale in our café. If you have a small series of flat artwork, between four and eight pieces, that you think might look great in our Theatr Bar, let us know!
Artwork is selected by the Theatr Display Programme team for display. Selected artworks are displayed for up to eight weeks as part of an ongoing programme that seeks to promote the artwork of local artists, and support artists through sales. All art-work in the café is for sale, with the Theatr taking 20% commission.
The Theatr can only offer display opportunities for framed or flat artwork, by this we mean anything in a frame, or flat works that can be hung with picture hooks. There are some limitations to the scale of artworks that can be displayed due to the nature of the space.
To propose your artwork for display in the Theatr Café, simply fill in the Café Display Proposal Form and email it to us, along with a few low res images. If the Programme Group are interested, you’ll be invited to share your work with us in person.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
