Hello November!
November is such a delightful month. The autumn colours have reached their peak, painting a breathtaking landscape around our building. It's the perfect time to take a leisurely walk through the nearby park and soak in the beauty of nature. And when you need a break, our cozy cafe is here to welcome you with hot drinks and delicious treats. Open daily from 9-5pm, it's the ideal spot to warm up and recharge during your autumn adventures.

REFLECTIONS
October was truly a magical month at Theatr Brycheiniog. As the leaves started to fall, the surroundings became even more picturesque, providing the perfect backdrop for leisurely strolls along the tranquil canal. And of course, no adventure is complete without a stop at our cafe for a hot drink to warm your soul…We hope you had the chance to catch some of our incredible shows in October. We were truly spoiled for choice! Our Comedy Club on the 6th was a standout, with amazing curry and hilarious acts that had the audience in stitches. The feedback we received from our returning Comedy Club was overwhelmingly positive, and it was a joy to see both familiar and new faces in the crowd.
On October 7th, the Last Night of The Proms by Brecon Town Concert Band was a musical delight that swept us off our feet. The energy and talent displayed by the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama students on the 8th left us in awe. Their performances of songs, arias, duets, and more showcased their passion for opera and left a lasting impression. For those who love a good mystery, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes on October 13th provided a hilarious take on the classic stories, again the audience provided such positive feedback. Then onto a SELL OUT Lindisfarne's 'Magic in The Air' Tour 2023 on October 14th was an evening filled with folk-rock hits that left us singing along and reminiscing.
The Brecon Baroque Festival 2023 from October 20th to 23rd was a truly enchanting experience. The performances transported us to another time and captivated our hearts and minds. And finally, on October 27th, we had the pleasure of presenting "Driftwood," a thought-provoking play co-produced by Pentabus and ThickSkin. This inspiring story explored themes of hope, love, and belonging, as two brothers on a beach grapple with their father's illness and their crumbling town.
In addition to the incredible shows, our amazing in-house kitchen team works tirelessly to create delicious treats that fill the air with an enticing aroma at Theatr B! From freshly baked cakes to mouthwatering meat and cheese platters and curries, our meals before the shows are a true delight for the taste buds. And let's not forget about our well-stocked bar, where everyone had a great time. We are truly grateful for the incredible few weeks we've had at Theatr Brycheiniog. Your presence and support have made our journey even more special. We look forward to continuing to share unforgettable moments with you in the future.

Since starting to do stand-up aged 43, she’s performed at The Savoy Theatre (Monmouth), the Palladium (Bideford) and the Bristol Hippodrome (actually a giant theatre so shut up!) as well as countless pubs, village halls and comedy clubs throughout the country.
Louise’s show, “Louise Leigh Amused” took to the stage at Edinburgh Fringe and in various forms of completeness on the way.
